Sumnerville CemeteryLocated in the village of Sumnerville. The first known grave of a non-native American was in 1833; Emily Markham, granddaughter of Israel Markham, a Revolutionary War Soldier from Massachusetts.
Grave sites are available. Lots for residents of Pokagon Township are $200; non-residents are $500.
Evergreen Cemetery
Located on Pokagon Highway ½-mile east of M-51 and the village of Pokagon. Burials date back prior to the Civil War. The cemetery is closed to the sale of new grave sites. No new burials.
